We are announcing a recent issue where only one shared folder or file may appear in the Microsoft OneDrive ‘Shared’ menu.
1. Cause of the Issue
Through a recent meeting with Microsoft Korea, we have confirmed that a policy change has been implemented for the OneDrive sharing feature. Due to the increasing number of attempts to access shared files and folders via external (third-party) applications, measures have been taken to limit the number of items displayed when accessed through these external apps.
- Note: All shared items are displayed normally on the official OneDrive website (Web).
2. Workarounds on the Official OneDrive Web
You can perform the following actions via the official website:
- Folders: Use the ‘Add shortcut to My files’ feature to create a shortcut to the shared folder.
- Files: Only file download is available.
3. RaiDrive Response Plan
Here is the status of RaiDrive’s response to this Microsoft policy change:
- Old Versions (2025.9.31 and older): Support for shortcut folders is insufficient.
- Latest Versions (2025.9.36 and newer): Access to shortcut folders has been corrected to work normally.
[Important] Information Regarding Standalone File Sharing
Standalone shared files do not offer functions other than web downloads, making support difficult within RaiDrive. When sharing files, we recommend including the files within a folder and sharing at the folder level.
We will continue to work diligently to provide stable service in the future.
Thank you.
