RaiDrive Version 2025.9.49 x64
Reporting (2) issues
Incorrect file sizes in Share Drive folder
Share Folders Drives not auto-refreshing after file addition/deletion
Over the last two RaiDrive Versions (2025.9.49 x64 and 2025.9.36 x64), I have noticed that the RaiDrive Share drives directory folder contents are not being updated with status (size/existence) properly/immediately after file deletion or addition to the folder for many files. Directly accessing the RaiDrive folder containing the recently added/deleted files seems to initiate the refresh. This wasn’t the case using prior RAiDrive version 2025.9.0 which always provided immediate folder refresh and showed the correct size of the added/deleted item.
According to the content source directories on the remote drive, the files indicate correct size and existence. I have checked/confirmed RaiDrive Version 2025.9.49 behavior using third party apps which identify and display the currently registered file/folder properties (size, content) and show a discrepancy of certain files sizes within the RaiDrive Share folder directory on the local drive as compared to the Remote source directories.
These issues sounds similar to what was fixed for OneDrive in the 2025.9.49 Changelog:
2025.9.49
Fixed
OneDrive: automatic reflection of remote changes in shared folders within “My Files”
Attached is a zip file containing screenshots of Share Directories showing incorrect directory size, and a short video showing how RaiDrive share folder is no longer updating automatically after change without accessing the folder to refresh.
I have been having the same issue where the mounted drive is not auto updating and i have to manually open the folder and refresh it constantly. I am testing this nightly build now and will let you know if it fixes it for me. Thanks!
Sadly, this did not fix it for me. I’m going to try to downgrade back to a working version. I’ve tried FTPS/SFTP, and I was paying to try the additional options but none of these corrected the issue.
FTP/SFTP/WebDAV and many remote storage services do not provide change information on the server. (Google, OneDrive, Box, and DropBox do provide remote change information.)
For these drives, RaiDrive must always retrieve a list of remote folders and compare them.
It is practically impossible to retrieve and compare all folder/file information on the server every time.
Therefore, a list of specific folders is retrieved, compared, and processed only under the following conditions:
When a folder is currently open in the file system (when the folder is open in Explorer).
When retrieving a list of folders (when entering a folder in Explorer, pressing F5 in Explorer, executing the dir command in CMD, etc.).
Please let us know if you have any other suggestions.
Thank you.
I’ve been away for the Holiday season without access to email and I’m now catching up on my messages. Please review the log relating to my support inquiry for RaiDrive 2025.9.49 forwarded separately.
I will test the patched version 2025.9.51 shortly to confirm if it fixes the issue.
I saw the notice about the Mount 2025.12.0 version update and installed it about 1hr ago. So far, this version seems to be worse in terms of folder updating. It also seems to be interferring with EverythingSearch file/folder rescans. It is very obvious because I’ve been using ES and Raidrive together without problems for months until the last few updates. I’ve been working on my machine since 6am today and have observed the ES rescans take place every 30min as programmed. After installing RD 2025.12.0, the ES rescan updates that should take 2-3 mins are now exceeding 20min and counting. No changes have been made to ES for over a week, so it seems likely the issue lies with Raidrive.
During the last 2 Raidrive update installs (2025.9.51 yesterday and 2025.12.0 today), after the initial process completed my entire screen went blank and was not recoverable. Since I was not able to esc out of this problem, I had to do a hard shutdown. Once the system came back up, I did a normal reboot to make sure the system was reset properly. After that, I tested 2025.9.51 to see if the original refresh problem was resolved but it was not. Today’s 2025.12.0 update did not resolve the issue either.
I would like to confirm how Raidrive should be upgraded - can the new version be simply installed over the existing version, or should the old version be uninstalled first and then install the new version? I’m trying to determine if the screen blanking after Raidrive update could be interferring with Raidrive functioning.
Also, how can I export Raidrive settings? I would like do a fresh install for a final check of the folder refresh issue. I have 12 remote drives added in Raidrive so I do not want to have to reset everything one by one.
Since the screen blackout issue has never been reported after installation, I’m not sure of the exact situation.
If you press Ctrl-Alt-Delete after the screen blacks out, a small screen appears, and Task Manager can be launched, try launching Task Manager and forcing Explorer to launch.
Refer to the “Open File Explorer from Task Manager” section in the link below:
If no keyboard actions work and nothing else works, reboot and check for any abnormalities using Event Viewer.
You can export and import your current RaiDrive drive information using the link below.
The document may be outdated and outdated, but the exported information will be sent to your registered email address.
Download it from the email and import it into your newly installed RaiDrive.
Recently, RaiDrive has changed to synchronously scan folders in EveryThing.
Furthermore, in version 2025.12.0, all shared folders in OneDrive have been modified to always detect changes.
Therefore, EveryThing may take longer to scan, as it retrieves changes to the root folder and all shared folders.
After connecting the drive, the first EveryThing scan will always take a long time because it remotely retrieves all drive folder/file information.
The second scan may be faster.
If each scan takes a long time, please let us know.
Please test the differences between version 2025.9.51 and version 2025.12.0 and share the results.
We are seriously considering how to handle remote list requests made by scanning programs like Everything.
We are struggling to balance the need for remote request limits with user convenience, but it’s difficult to find a definitive answer.
We’ll do some more research and improve upon this.
We may need your help for improvements and testing.
Please let us know if you have any other comments, suggestions, or issues.
Thank you.
i forward some info to the support email.
In order to test the earlier version of RaiDrive, I installed it on another computer but I cant go further since I only have a licence key for one computer.
I will return to working on this autoupdating issue on Wednesday. I already installed the test version you supplied and it seems to be working normally so far. On Wednesday I’ll run some specific comparative tests to report on the performance.
Hi - After working with the EverythingSearch Developer and running my own tests to determine when the Folder sizes are shown and when they are not in Windows Explorer and the Xplorer2 file manager, I can confirm this issue is not related to RaiDrive in any way.
Just to be clear, the Folder sizes issue is not the same thing as the Share Drive Directories not autoupdating correctly issue. If the share drive directory doesnt autoupdate, the directory file/folder size will of course have an incorrect size.
