Hello RaiDrive team,
I’m reporting a behavior that started with the 2026.6.x series and is present in 2026.6.25 when using a Google Drive Shared Drive.
Issue:
When I rename files or folders on a Shared Drive, the Modified date is updated to the current time at the moment of the rename, even though I have the option “Keep modification date” enabled in the drive settings.
This did not happen in version 2025.12.30, where renaming preserved the original modification date as expected.
Environment:
-
RaiDrive Mount version: 2026.6.25 (issue also observed since 2026.6.7)
-
Previous working version: 2025.12.30
-
Cloud: Google Drive – Shared Drive
-
OS: Windows (latest updates)
Drive options currently enabled:
-
Preview document
-
Update storage changes asynchronously
-
Keep modification date (enabled)
Additional observation (possibly related):
From version 2026.6.7 onward (including 2026.6.25), the drive correctly shows used/free space in the status bar when I set a capacity limit in the options. In earlier versions, even with capacity set, the bar remained gray and did not display this information. I’m not sure if this is related, but it started changing in the same 2026.6.x series.
Expected behavior:
When “Keep modification date” is enabled, renaming a file or folder on a Google Drive Shared Drive should not change the Modified timestamp; it should remain as it was before the rename, as it did in 2025.12.30.
Steps to reproduce:
-
Connect a Google Drive Shared Drive in RaiDrive Mount 2026.6.25.
-
In the drive properties, enable “Keep modification date” (along with “Preview document” and “Update storage changes asynchronously”).
-
In File Explorer, rename a file or folder on the Shared Drive.
-
Check the Modified date: it updates to the current time instead of staying unchanged.
I can provide logs from C:\ProgramData\OpenBoxLab\RaiDrive Mount\log if needed. Please let me know what additional information would help to investigate this.
Thank you in advance for your support.
