New Standard license from version 2020.11 (Google Drive, OneDrive)

Dear everyone,

The Standard license for Google Drive and OneDrive will be changed from version 2020.11. The past distributed versions(1.0 ~ 2020.6) keep the current license.


Standard Personal

The partially-writable feature in Google Drive and OneDrive will be enhanced to all writable.

Standard Business

Google Shared drives is integrated into Google Drive, and the writable feature of Google Drive and OneDrive is moved into Professional Basic. (Google Drive is for G Suite, OneDrive is for Microsoft 365 and OneDrive Business)

Schedules

  • Another subscription model will be announced for G Suite and Microsoft 365 Educational.
  • Version 2020.11 is scheduled to be released in November 2020.
  • Versions prior to 2020.11 are not provided with upgrade-notification for 2020.11.
  • Bug patches for 2020.6 will continue for a certain period of time even after 2020.11.

Just want to inquire and clarify regards these changes and upgrade as so many drastic changes on all parties & provider. My main concern on the Google Shared Drives. After the changes on what subscription option actually that I need to look into for a read & writable option? Thanks! :slight_smile:
