I don’t know I just started using this program so I don’t know if this is a problem with the current release or previous releases. But in the latest release I want to back up my settings when I updated from one version to the other in the latest update I had to totally redo my drives and I would like to be able to back them up I mean the settings anyway so that this doesn’t happen again.
I want to be able to export my settings drive settings so that if for some reason like in an update or other time my drives are no longer set up I can quickly reimport the settings so that it doesn’t waste my time. There is an export feature that appears to be for this purpose but when I endeavor to use it it will say that it’s going to send the settings to my email address and then when I click OK it says sign in failed and my settings are never emailed to me. I am signed in I have my drive set up they are working properly and I am signed in to the account so the response sign in failed makes no sense neither does not sending them because it says it is going to send them but does not so this seems to be a bug over feature that is not working.
It would be very helpful if this was fixed
Thank you very much for hearing and considering my suggestion request.

Hi @russellmeier,
Thank you for the detailed report, and sorry for the trouble.
We checked the log files that you sent to support@raidrive.com. This is a bug in RaiDrive 2026.10.0. The same bug is also why you had to set up your drives again after the update.
What happened
On some PC configurations, RaiDrive 2026.10.0 cannot prepare the secure storage that it uses for your account and drive settings. Because of this:
- RaiDrive cannot renew your sign-in. So the export stops with “Sign in failed”, even though you are signed in.
- RaiDrive cannot save your drive settings. So the drives can disappear after a restart or an update.
Fix
We fixed this bug in a test (nightly) build:
- Download the fixed build: RaiDrive.Mount_2026.10.7.1028_x64.msi
- Run the installer. You do not need to uninstall the current version first. The installer upgrades RaiDrive in place.
- If RaiDrive asks you to sign in, sign in again.
- Try the export again.
This is a nightly (pre-release) build. The fix will also be included in a future official release. We also sent these steps to you by email today.
Please let us know the result after you install the test build.
If you still see “Sign in failed” when you export, please send your log files to support@raidrive.com. You can find them in this folder:
%ProgramData%\OpenBoxLab\RaiDrive Mount\log
