Hi, we observed huge number of ssh:notty (around 50000 from the same user) connections while user is using RaiDrive to map sFTP resources. Is there any parameter in RaidDrive that can control the maximum number or retry while opening ssh connections ?

Hi, looking at the RaiDrive Log we see records like the ones below even when user did not try to access the specific folder /adr/config
Can you please clarify if RaiDrive starts scanning subfoldes even if the user did not try to access them ?

RaiDrive is a file system, it is dependent on requests from Windows.
The request may vary depending on which program you are using, so please check which program is actually being used.
You can use the Process Monitoring feature(Professional Edition only) to see which programs are in use.
If you can’t use the Process Monitoring feature, you can use the Resource Monitor in the Task Manager.
Sometimes a program that monitors folders/disks, such as a backup program, can cause a lot of folder accesses.
Please email us the log file and we’ll take a look to see if there are any other issues.

Can you please confirm how we can avoid the sFTP hammering when credential configured in RaiDrive are not correct, use case here is that user has changed password but did not update RaiDrive setting, the issue we have is that we have the sFTP “bombarded” of connections with the incorrect credentials, we thought that should go just for a very limited number of retries.
Is there a way to limit this retries so that we do not have the sFTP hammered with connections ?

Your version is designed to create multiple channels, or establish multiple new connections, to expedite the processing of various simultaneous requests from the file system.
These features may exceed the maximum number of channels and maximum number of connections limited by your SFTP server.
To solve this problem, we changed to an asynchronous communication method for one connection.
Please test with the new version and let us know the results.

can you please have a look at the attached log, this is an example of the behavior I was highlighting, it looks like the user has changed the sFTP password on the sFTP server without changing it in the RaiDrive settings and what happens is that RaidDrive is generating multiples attempts to connect even with no user interaction.

In your version, when a user changes their password or when their password expires, it will only show an error in the logs and will not work properly. It will also not notify the user.
In this case, they must disconnect the drive and enter a new password in the drive settings in RaiDrive.
