I am not sure if it is something I am doing wrong, but I basically have RaiDrive setup the same way as I have setup an app on iOS called FileBrowser where I have 2 Google Drives with a shared folder between them and can copy large amounts of data very quickly, not touching my network. I have setup RaiDrive mounts the same way, exposing the shared folders, each with the Quick copy enabled, but cannot seem to find a way to avoid having the copy traverse my network. I was hoping this software could do what both iOS’s FileBrowser can do. Reading through the forum, it seems as if it works, I am just not seeing where I am going wrong.
Hi @astinsonjr .
RaiDrive’s Quick Copy is useful when copying files to another folder within the same Drive (when the drive supports the function).
Or when copying multiple files from a local disk to a Remote Drive, or when copying files that are so large that the temporary folder runs out of space.
When copying between different drives, the files are downloaded and uploaded, which uses up a lot of the network.
If your goal is different drives, but they are all Google Drives, is it right to copy without downloading/uploading?
Currently, RaiDrive does not provide this function.
If you describe in detail the specific function you want, we will review and research the function.
RaiDrive Support.
