Cannot delete file in MEGA

Dear RaiDrive Support,

We want to use RaiDrive Mount (paid) in our company for accessing a MEGA.IO shared folder.
Most features seem to work. However, I am unable to delete a file. The related log entries in “C:\ProgramData\OpenBoxLab\RaiDrive Mount\log\service.log” are as below:

I have confirmed, that the user has “full access permissions”, not only “read / write” in Mega.
Can you please help us troubleshoot this issue?

Thank you and Kind Regards,
Niels

Hi, @niels.thiermann

According to the logs, the access level for the shared folder is set to 0.
Therefore, read access is enabled, and deletion is denied.

Please verify once again that the shared access permissions are correctly configured. (Please check the access permissions for the shared folder on the MEGA web under “Shared Items” => “Incoming Shares”).

If the settings for the shared folder are set to full access, this may be due to a discrepancy between the internal and remote information.

Please try the following steps:

  1. Change the permissions for the shared folder again.
That is, change it to “read and write,” and then change it back to “full access.”
Then, wait for about 1 minute, and try deleting it.

  2. Try deleting the MEGA drive in RaiDrive and recreating it.

Please verify that your RaiDrive Mount version is the latest version (2025.12.0) and let us know the result.

RaiDrive Support

Dear RaiDrive Support,

Thank you very much! The issue is resolved now.

Based on your suggestion I have performed the following:

  • Changed the permission within Mega from “full acces” to “read only”.
  • Waited 1 min.
  • Changed the permission within Mega back to “full acces”.
  • Waited 1 min.
  • Disconnected the drive in RaiDrive Mount.
  • Rebooted the computer running RaiDrive Mount.

Now, deleting files works as intended.

Note that I was already using the latest version of RaiDrive, v2025.12.30.
Thank you very much for your support!

Best,
Niels

Thank you for letting me know the results.

After disconnecting the drive, you can simply reconnect it without rebooting.
