# Login to Nextcloud causes issues

hello everyone!

i have a nextcloud installation running on my server at:  
[www.myserver.com/nextcloud](http://www.myserver.com/nextcloud)

my username is an email:  
[myname@mymail.com](mailto:myname@mymail.com)

i tried to connect to the nextcloud with:

[https://myserver.com/](https://myserver.com/)  
as server - port used (based on nextcloud information: 443)  
path:  
nextcloud/remote.php/dav/myname@mymail.com  
also based on documentation of nextcloud (i use those for the ios software “documents” to connect there with webdav server as well and it works, so the path etc seems to be fine)

when trying to connect after inserting my credential:  
[myname@mymail.com](mailto:myname@mymail.com)  
and  
mypassword

error (translated from german):  
no valid URL, authority / host could not be validated

any idea how to get it work?  
as far as I have seen all nextcloud accounts are  
[myname@mymail.com](mailto:myname@mymail.com) / emails

solved it myself!

looks like the SSL causes issues, so here is how I got it working:

disable SSL  
server: [http://myserver.com](http://myserver.com)  
Port:80  
path:  
/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/files/

user: username (or email)  
password: password

working perfect now

Sorry, this PATH is correct:

path:  
/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/files/USER
